Some Pixel 9 owners are reporting bugs that prevent them from receiving notifications.
Reports have appeared across Reddit and Google’s community forum, and the story has been picked up by Android Authority and 9to5Google. The bulk of reports so far focus on Google Home notifications, with users reporting that after moving from an older phone to the Pixel 9 series, notifications stopped coming in.
So far, it seems the Pixel 9, 9 Pro XL and 9 Pro Fold are impacted. (Notably, the Pixel 9 Pro isn’t available yet, likely why it’s not mentioned in any reports so far.)
Thankfully, there does appear to be a relatively simple fix. Some users report that uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Home app fixes problems, though it doesn’t work for everyone.
Anyway, if you’re having notification issues with the Google Home app on your new Pixel, you might to try uninstalling it.
