Apple lets you prep your iPhone 16 pre-order before Friday

Pre-order your pre-order

Those looking to pick up one of Apple’s new iPhones can pre-pre-order the phones now.

Pre-orders officially open on Friday September 13th, but customers can prepare ahead of time by selecting the iPhone options they want and getting their cart ready to go. To do this, head to Apple’s website, select the iPhone you want and work your way through the options on the shopping page.

For example, looking at the iPhone 16 Pro, you’d pick whether you want the Pro or Pro Max, select the colour and storage, complete your trade-in options, select whether you want Apple Care and then click/tap “Get ready for pre-order” at the bottom.

Apple’s website then prompts you to browser accessories to add things like cases or charging peripherals to your order and set up your payment method so you’re ready to go.

Once everything is set up, all that’s left is to return to the Apple website anytime after 5am PT/8am ET on the 13th to complete the order.

While it might seem a bit silly to pre-pre-order, it can be handy to get all the little details out of the way ahead of time rather than trying to figure out which model you want, the storage and trade-in details at the time of purchase.
