Following the lead of Rogers flanker brand Fido, Virgin has launched a new promotion designed to entice current subscribers to add a home internet package to their monthly bill.
Until April 30th, the carrier is offering its Unlimited Home Internet service at 50 percent off for the first 12 months of a new contract. Virgin taps into Bell’s fibre and DSL footprint for service.
After the first year, the cost of the monthly service increases to $60 per month. Over the course of a full year, the discount amounts to $360.
To make the offer more enticing, Virgin is waiving installation fees. There’s also no modem or activation fee, and Virgin is not asking customers to agree to a contract term. The one stipulation is that the deal is only available to Virgin Mobile account holders.
In addition, it appears Virgin is only offering the deal in Ontario.
