Rogers-owned Fido is currently offering a bonus 2GB of data for Pulse plan activations in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The promo brings a BYOD Pulse plan to 7GB of data for $48.
The 2GB bonus data is valid for 24 months, after which point the plan will revert to its normal 5GB allotment. In addition to the generous helping of data, the plan includes unlimited nation-wide talk and text.
Elsewhere in Canada, Fido is offering an extra 1GB of data for Pulse plans, though the pricing is nowhere near as low as in the more competitive markets of Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
In Ontario, it’s possible to get a 6GB BYOD plan with unlimited talk and text for $75 per month with the bonus 1GB.
Fido’s main competitors, Bell-owned Virgin Mobile and Telus-owned Koodo, are not currently offering similar deals.
Fido recently offered some customers $50/5GB and $75/10GB plans in Ontario, Alberta and BC.
