Reports have surfaced indicating that an iOS 11 bug is causing some devices to crash and reboot when the date switches to December 2nd at 12:15am. Apple has acknowledged the problem and initially offered a quick fix: Setting the device’s date back by one day.
However, this weekend, Apple has pushed out iOS 11.2, a software update that solves the above problem:
If the update won’t install on your device, Apple says users need to follow the steps below:
- Tap ‘Settings’ and then ‘Notifications.’
- Tap an app, then turn off ‘Allow Notifications.’ Next, repeat this step for each app.
- Update your device to iOS 11.2.
- After updating, tap ‘Settings,’ then ‘Notifications’ and turn ‘Allow Notifications’ on again for each app.
In addition, it seems that Apple Pay Cash has also arrived in Canada, which was recently revealed to be coming soon via a trademark filing. However, it seems that the quick mobile payment option through iMessage is not live yet. Rumours are that it might arrive early next week.
Update 11/04/17: It looks like Apple Pay Cash is not coming to Canada yet and is only launching in the United States currently.
