Students across Canada were asked to compete in the second Doodle 4 Google competition and now it’s time for Canada to vote on their favourite Doodle.
In March students were asked to use their imagination to create a Google doodle with the “What I see for Canada’s future is…” question in mind, in celebration of Canada 150.
After sorting through thousands of entries, Google has narrowed it down to the 12 contestants and now the search giant company commenced public voting so Canada can choose the winning doodles.
The doodles are separated into four groups: kindergarten to Grade 3, Grade 4 to Grade 6, Grade 7 to Grade 9 and Grade 10 to Grade 12. Voters get to pick from each of the four grade groups and vote as many times as they’d like until June 2nd, the last day for public voting.
After public voting is completed, each of the four-grade group winners will receive $5,000 CAD technology award given to their schools. Following that Google will pick one student who will a receive $10,000 university scholarship and $10,000 awarded to their school.
Lastly, the winner and his or her doodle are set to be revealed on June 13th at the Art Gallery of Ontario and their doodle will be on Google.ca on June 14th.
