“Hello Again.”
Just as many expected, Apple just sent out invites for an event set to take place in Cupertino next week on October 27th.
The event is set to be livestreamed at 1PM E.T./10AM P.T., and if rampant speculation turns out to be true, we’ll finally get our first look at the long-awaited revamp of the MacBook Pro. Apple hasn’t updated its retina MacBook Pro in over a year and the base model Pro has not been altered since 2012.
Rumours suggest that the new MacBook Pro will feature an OLED touch control bar above the keyboard that has the ability to dynamically display different key functions. The computer will also shift to an all USB-C setup, forcing buyers to adopt the “dongle life” and creating issues early adopters of the 2015 and 2016 MacBook have been forced to deal with since that laptop’s launch. This also means that Apple’s proprietary MagSafe connector is set to be killed off.
In the past Bloomberg has reported that Apple’s Mac event could include a new iMac desktop and possibly even the Air as well. A new 5K monitor could also be revealed at this event.
MobileSyrup will be on the ground at Apple’s October 27th event bringing you all the action directly from the show floor.
