Rogers is now offering a free 128 GB SD card to anyone upgrading or activating a S7 or S7 Edge. The offer was launched today on the Rogers website, and will run for a limited time. Rogers values the Samsung-brand memory card at $200.
The promotion acts as an incentive to purchase the relatively pricey S7 phones. Rogers, as well as Bell and Telus, are offering the S7 at $399 on a 2-year contract, and the S7 Edge at $499.
The promotion also advertises the S7’s read and write speeds of 80MB/second and 20MB/second respectively.
The company notes that if the phone is returned within the 15-day buyer’s remorse period, the customer must also return the memory card.
Update: Rogers has reached out to MobileSyrup to note that it has corrected the retail value of the 128GB card that was originally quoted on its website as $200 to $129.
