This is what I like to see: phone OEMs trying to one-up each other in the camera department.
LG has just teased, via YouTube, that its G4 flagship will rock an F1.8 lens, which is just about the sharpest and fastest in the smartphone business. Whether it can pull off the tremendous quality of the Galaxy S6 remains to be seen, but it’s nice to see the Korean giants battling one another like two monstrous Kaiju warring in the Japanese seas.
Nothing else is known about the upcoming flagship, but for its 5.5-inch QHD screen, which is reportedly a tremendous improvement in colour reproduction, efficiency and contrast. The new panel uses Advanced In-Cell Touch technology, which integrates the touch sensor with the LCD itself, making it both thinner and more water-resistant.
The LG G4 is expected to run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chip, 3GB of RAM, a 16MP rear sensor and the company’s new UX 4.0.
Look for the LG G4 to debut on April 28th, and we’ll be in New York to cover all the action.
Update: LG has posted an official teaser photo showing off the G4’s upcoming leather back. Not sure if the leather is going to be on all the models, or just some special edition versions.
