Rumours are just that — rumours — and while many of them come true, some don’t. What we’re looking at here is possibly the metal frame of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6. According to the source, nowhereelse, which has been reliable in the past, Samsung will indeed come to market with an all-aluminum device.
There are some similarities to previous Samsung flagships, but these pictures indicate a redesign of the location of the ports and buttons. If true, Samsung will place the microUSB port, 3.5mm headphone jack and speaker on the bottom. The power/standby button and SIM slot venture to the right hand side, while the left side will house the volume rocker.
The Galaxy S6 is expected to feature a 5-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, 3GB of RAM, a 20MP rear camera with a 5MP front-facing camera and reportedly a new digital payment system powered by a swipeless fingerprint scanner. Samsung has scheduled March 1st for its Mobile World Congress keynote presentation and hinted in its quarterly report that we can expect the next set of smartphones to have “new materials, innovative design.”
