Nest is having problems with its Nest Mobile app for iOS devices and 9to5 Mac is reporting that the application has actually been pulled from the App Store while Nest addresses the issue.
Users on Twitter are complaining that the iOS app is crashing and Nest this morning confirmed that it is investigating problems with version 4.4.0 of the app. The company promised an update once the issue had been resolved.
“We apologize for the issues with the Nest mobile app. We are aware of the issue and are gathering information to investigate it now,” the company said. “We will have a resolution shortly. We appreciate your patience and we will update you as soon as the issue is resolved.”
Users on the Nest Community were this morning rolling back to earlier versions of the app and, now that it has been pulled, are requesting that an older version be pushed to the app store so that they can continue to control their Nest systems from their phones.
Nest hasn’t responded beyond what it said in this morning’s statement, though CEO Tony Fadell assures Twitter users the company is “all over it.”
