Bell and Virgin could possibly be the first carriers to release a new smartphone in 2014.
Last week it was announced that both Bell and Virgin will exclusively add the Alcatel One Touch Idol X and the Idol Mini to its lineup “in the coming weeks.” According to an internal doc we received it shows that Bell, possibly Virgin, will be officially launching the 5-inch OneTouch Idol X on January 28th in both slate grey and red. Alcatel One Touch is a relatively unknown smartphone manufacturer to Canadians, but the company plans to change this perception with the flagship Idol X and offer it at a respectable price — probably well under $300.
Update: We now have received pricing for the Alcatel One Touch Idol X and the One Touch Idol mini. According to a doc we have shows the retail pricing for the Idol X to be $249.95 and the Idol mini for $99.95.
