Videotron comes out with a $60/month Unlimited voice and 6GB data promo

Videotron is stepping up their game in Quebec and has come out with a promo plans that offer up unlimited calling, texts and 6GB of data for $60/month, plus reduced their previous 6GB promo by a few bucks.

Here are the plan details:
UNLIMITED VOICE + DATA, $59.95/month:

• Unlimited anytime local calling
• Unlimited text messaging (text, photo and video)
• unlimited long-distance calls within Québec between all Videotron customers (residential and mobile)
• Call Display
• Voicemail (up to 35 voicemails)
• Call Waiting and Conference Calls
• 6 GB of data
• 5-hour illico mobile plan free for 12 months

UNLIMITED VOICE + DATA, $71.95/month (used to be $79.95/month):

• Unlimited anytime local calling
• Unlimited long-distance calls to Canada and the US
• Unlimited text messaging (text, photo and video)
• Call Display
• Voicemail (up to 35 voicemails)
• Call Waiting and Conference Calls
• 6 GB data add-on
• 5-hour illico mobile plan free for 12 months

Of course, before signing up on any plan make sure you read the fine print, which states both are “limited-time” offers and have a one-time $35 activation fee. Depending on the plan you go with also has some restrictions of price and device. For example, the new Nexus 5 at $49.95 on a 2-year term can only be activated on a plan that is $69.95 or more, so this will bump up the price of the N5 to $99.95. Overall, something to consider.
