Rogers announced its loyalty program — Rogers First Rewards — last summer. This gave customers the ability to earn loyalty points based on their monthly bill.
The point system is broken down into tiers, with a “Silver Tier” earning 1 point per dollar spent on a monthly bill, followed by a “Gold Tier” that rings in 1.5 points per dollar spent, then a “Platinum Tier” that earns 2 points per evert dollar. Once you accumulate a certain amount of points you can redeem them for free roaming, free long distance, faster internet speeds, upgraded internet packages and free Rogers on Demand content.
This First Rewards program was first rolled out to customers in n Red Deer and London, but Rogers has now expanded the initiative to customers in the Greater Toronto Area, with Ottawa, Kingston, Sudbury and “other cities throughout Ontario” in the coming weeks.
Rogers also notes that customers have been “rewarded with over 65 million points” since the initial loyalty program launch back in July, plus with the upcoming rollout in Ontario will catapult the program to reach 80% of its customer base and dole out an estimated 1.2 billion points by the end of the year.
