A few weeks ago news leaked online that Bell was on tap to launch the Samsung Galaxy Mega – a mega device that has a 6.3-inch display. Today we bring you confirmation that Rogers will also release this ‘phablet.’ An internal doc we received reveals this hitting Rogers sometime in September and targeted to be a ‘smartphone with an affordable price.’ We currently have no specific prices, nor a firm launch date.
The doc of the Mega show incorrect specs, however, the LTE-enabled Galaxy Mega has a 6.3-inch 720p display, run Android OS 4.2.2, 1.7Ghz dual-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, a 3200mAh battery, 8MP camera and a 1.9MP front-facing camera. Rogers could very well be getting the Mega 5.8.
The doc also shows Rogers is also preparing for the upcoming release of the entry-level Sony Xperia SP this month. In addition, on the left hand side of the doc you’ll see another sign that Motorola’s new Moto X is coming to Rogers.
