New entrant Mobilicity currently operates in Toronto but have promised to go live in Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver by the end of the year. Today they announced 3 new additions to their executive team, which is a step forward in the right direction… and hopefully means that those cities will get the green light up soon.
– Matthew Gould, General Manager, Western Canada (came from TELUS)
– Tim Velichka – Market Manager, Calgary (came from Bell Canada)
– Janet Holt — Market Manager, Ottawa (came from Rogers)
There is still no confirmed launch dates for the remaining cities but reading over the press release certainly seems everyone is happy, excited or thrilled about the future of Mobiliticy.
Dave Dobbin, president and CEO of Mobilicity stated “We are thrilled to welcome such a talented group of industry veterans to our team as we further our plans to introduce Mobilicity’s affordable, unlimited wireless and bill certainty to Western Canada and Ottawa”.
Tim Velichka said “I’m happy to be playing a role in bringing Mobilicity’s simple, unlimited mobile model to consumers in Alberta. There’s a real need for affordable wireless here.”
Janet Holt “I am excited to bring true unlimited wireless plans to the nation’s capital. Ottawa consumers deserve an affordable mobile carrier that eliminates bill surprise and ensures the price of their plan is the price they pay.”
