The last big update from Rogers “OS Upgrades” schedule was that the HTC One would receive the upgrade to KitKat on January 31st. This was true and Rogers and HTC delivered OS 4.4 before any North American carrier.
Rogers also noted that the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3 would be “coming soon” and while this is still the case, we can now add a couple more devices to the mix waiting for the desired update to KitKat. “Coming soon” has been placed beside the HTC Desire 601, LG G2 and the Sony Xperia Z1. The Nokia Lumia 520 is scheduled to be updated to Windows Phone 8 GDR3 on March 10th.
Unfortunately, there’s no word on when the other updates will happen, just soon. Rogers notes in the fine print that the “release dates are subject to change.”
Update: Rogers has updated their OS update schedule and now shows that the HTC Desire 601 has received the upgrade to OS 4.4 KitKat. The LG G2 and the Sony Xperia Z1 are still “coming soon.”
Update #2: Desire 601 customers on Bell can now upgrade to OS 4.4.2 KitKat. Check your device: press Settings >> About Phone >> Software update.
Update #2: Desire 601 customers on Koodo can now upgrade to OS 4.4.2 KitKat.
