TELUS flips the LTE switch on in Charlottetown

Quick update for those TELUS customers located on Prince Edward Island, specifically in Charlottetown. TELUS’ LTE network is now live and you can expect average download speeds between 12 to 25 Mbps. TELUS has updated their coverage map and looks like the initial rollout is what you can expect to see for a while as there’s no future expansion plans listed, however, in the press release TELUS says that “additional communities will get access to 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) in the coming months, as TELUS continues to bring the technology to even more customers in the province of Prince Edward Island in 2013.”

Some of the Devices that can take advantage of TELUS LTE speeds are the new BlackBerry Z10, Apple iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S III and the LG Optimus G.
