Update: Samsung Galaxy Note II available in Canada on October 30th

Samsung and majority of the Canadian carriers announced that the LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy Note II, a follow-up to the successful Note, would be coming to Canada sometime “this fall.

The Note II has some changes from the original Note, such as a bigger display at 5.5-inches, a 1.6GHz quad core processor, enhancements to the S PEN, thinner by 0.3mm at 9.4mm, and comes with 2GB RAM. TELUS was one of the carriers to proudly list the Note II on their site as “coming soon,” but today they’ve changed that to be the first to declare the release date is set for Tuesday, October 30th. No word yet on the price points.

The Note II will also be heading to Bell, WIND, Rogers, Mobilicity, Videotron and SaskTel. We’ll be attending the media event in New York on the 24th and will bring you full hands-on of the Android Jelly Bean phone/tablet.

Update: We’ve just received word from Samsung that the Note II, as expected will be widely available on October 30th. The email stated “We are excited to announce that the Note II will be available to purchase at all national and regional carriers on October 30, 2012. Please contact your nearest carrier or retail partner for pricing and pre-order details.”
