Over the past few weeks I’ve been reading about a Toronto-based company called “ContactMonkey”. They’ve successfully raised millions of dollars and have created an easier way to share your contacts. This online cross-platform system allows you to quickly add and share contact information – so no more attaching your signature or a vCard to every email.
What ContactMonkey does is create a personalized contact cloud for users’ to link to. In this cloud, all information is on the fly customizable and renders in all formats; whether on your mobile phone (iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone) or tablet, or at your desk using a web based email client or Microsoft Outlook. There’s no app to install, but in a kinda cool twist is that they offer full analytics to see how many people have clicked/downloaded your contact card. Of course there’s a cost: first 3 months are no charge, then a fee of $3 per user per month. However, we’re told that there’s “No contracts to sign, no obligations”.
You can check them out here at their site – and there’s a video below that shows how it all works.
