Mark Messier joins Amazon’s slate of Monday Night Hockey hosts

The company is also hosting a hockey analysis show on Thursday nights

Amazon has shared its slate of hosts and commentators for its hockey ambitions this year, featuring contributions from Canadian NHL legend Mark Messier.

The Prime Monday Night Hockey stream will be play-by-play announcer John Forslund alongside analysts Jody ShelleyThomas Hickey, and Shane Hnidy. Amazon says that another slate of hosts will anchor its sports desk including “Adnan Virk, Andi Petrillo, analyst Blake Bolden, and a mix of local guests throughout the season. Hockey Hall of Famer Mark Messier will be a contributor throughout the season both on the desk and with vignettes.”

Monday Night Hockey on Prime begins on Canadian Thanksgiving on October 14, when Pitsburg and Montreal face off at 7PM ET. The service will stream every Monday game for the regular season. The full schedule for Monday night games is available here.

The other Prime Video hockey show is called NHL Coast To Coast and is hosted by Andi Petrillo and a rotating cast of co-hosts. This crew will do “live look-ins, highlights, and expert analysis of every NHL game that night, featuring interviews with top players, coaches and commentators.” This Thursday show begins on October 10 at 7PM ET.
