Where to stream the Terminator movies in Canada before Terminator Zero

We do a lot of “where to stream [insert movie series name] before [insert new entry name] in Canada” resources, but this one might be one of the more unique.

If you can believe it, 2024 marks the 40th anniversary of Kapuskasing, Ontario-born James Cameron’s The Terminator, and coinciding with that big milestone is the series’ first-ever animated entry, Terminator Zero. Set in 1990s Japan before the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator Zero follows a scientist who finds himself and his three children pursued by an unknown robot assassin. The anime series, which premieres on Netflix on August 29th, was created by Mattson Tomlin (The Batman) and animated by Production I.G. (Ghost in the Shell) under the direction of Masashi Kudō (Bleach).

While the series is standalone, a new entry in the Terminator canon, coupled with the series as a whole celebrating 40 years, might have you wanting to revisit the older movies. (It certainly has me clamouring to do so.)

With that in mind, we’ve rounded up where to stream all five Terminator films in Canada:

• Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) — Crave (Starz required), Netflix
• Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) — not available on any digital platform
• Terminator Genisys (2015) — Netflix, Paramount+
• Terminator: Dark Fate (2019) — rent or purchase on premium video on demand (PVOD) platforms like Apple TV and YouTube

And for good measure, you can stream purchase both seasons of the first Terminator series, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, on Apple TV or YouTube.
