Nvidia is pausing the rollout of Shield Experience 7.0 to its Shield TV Android set-top box. The company initially launched the update, which bundles together Android 8.0 and the latest Android security patch, as well as a whole host of other new features and improvements, to the Shield TV last week.
“We’ve uncovered a couple issues thanks to feedback from our preview program that we’d like to fix prior to rolling out Shield TV Experience Upgrade 7.0 to more users,” wrote a spokesperson for Nvidia on the company’s official community forums. “We’re actively working to resolve the issues that have been encountered and hope to be able to restart the rollout shortly.”
No word on yet on when Nvidia plans to resume pushing out the update, nor what specific issues caused Nvidia to halt the rollout. Are you one of the Shield owners that got 8.0 on their device before Nvidia pulled the plug? Let us know in the comment section if you’ve experienced any issues with your Shield since installing Shield Experience 7.0.
