Elon Musk, the chief of Tesla, Space X and The Boring Company, says that the Tesla Model Y SUV will be revealed on March 15th.
Though right after making this statement, Musk also said he made that date up “because the Ides of March sounded good.”
But consider it real. We could unveil Model Y anytime from late this year to mid next year, so March 15 is about right.

Further, the above tweet indicates that the possible release could range anywhere from late this year, to mid next year.
This is possibly due to previous reports indicating the Model Y is being scheduled for production in 2020.
During a call with Electrek, Musk said the Tesla Model Y will bring “a manufacturing revolution.” With that said, it seems the Model Y will use a different production technique than the Model 3.
This makes sense considering reports of Tesla having to pause its Model 3 production line for five days.
