In Canada, we don’t have access to the same video streaming services as our counterparts in the United States. That said, our streaming service selection is likely better than you think it is.
First, we have the big three that every Canadian knows about: Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Bell Media’s CraveTV. We’ve unfortunately lost Rogers’ Shomi, though there are plenty of other platforms that have filled the void.
In terms of more niche services in Canada, we now have Shudder, a streaming service that only features horror TV shows and movies, Crunchyroll and Funimation for the anime lovers, DAZN for sports, Snackable TV, a free service for quick videos and Kanopy, a platform full of documentaries.
Alongside those services there’s also Videotron’s Club Illico and CBS’ All Access streaming platform.
So with all of that in mind, how many streaming service do you subscribe to? As well, both Disney and Warner Bros are coming out with their own streaming services soon — are you interested in these?
