Snapchat has been taking flak lately over its 2017 app redesign, forcing the company to test yet another revamped user interface, says Recode.
The tests have moved user Stories back to the Discover Page, instead of separating them from brand and publisher content.
This is a small but welcome change because it means that Snapchat is listening to its community and is willing to change to appease the platform’s users.
For those that have the new update already, they’ll no longer need to worry about their friends’ stories getting mixed up with stories posted by publishers. A Snapchat spokesperson told Recode that “stories on the discover page will still be confined to their own feed.”
The company also told Recode that “with this test, we’re retaining that idea [of separating friends and publishers], but bringing back one place for talking and one place for watching — organizing around users’ behaviour, not just relationships.”
