A new BlackBerry handset is officially available in Canada.
Canadians can now purchase the all-touch TCL-made BlackBerry Motion from Bell, Telus, Koodo and SaskTel.
- Bell Pricing: $99 CAD on a 2- year premium plan; $599.00 CAD outright
- TELUS Pricing: $100 CAD on a 2-year premium plan; $605.00 CAD outright
- Koodo Pricing: $100 CAD on a Tab Large plan; $605.00 CAD outright
- SaskTel Pricing:$99 CAD on a 2-year premium plan; $599.99 CAD outright.
The Motion is TCL’s second BlackBerry-branded smartphone to come to Canada and features a 5.5-inch scratch resistant display. Notably, it is the first BlackBerry to have an IP67 water- and dust-resistance rating.
The Motion also features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 chip, 4GB RAM, a 4,000mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 support (USB-C), as well as a 12-megapixel camera with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The device runs Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, with the company promising an upgrade to Oreo in the future.
