Though we here in Canada don’t have access to Bixby Voice yet, Samsung recently started rolling out the Galaxy S8 and S8+ feature in its home country.
Now that Bixby Voice is out in the wild, people are beginning to uncovered some of the voice-activated assistant’s neat tricks. Like Cortana and Siri, Bixby adds a dash of amusement to your handheld device.
Saying “Please rap” or “please beatbox” in Korean gets the AI to start rapping. The companion will rap in Korean and comes with a little diss aimed at Apple’s Siri. According to the Verge, if you look at the first letter of each line of the rap, the phrase spells out “I am better than Siri.”
Bixby isn’t the only AI that came to the table with insults for Siri, as Microsoft’s Cortana has a few Siri insults of her own.
While this is big talk from Samsung, it still remains unclear if the South Korean tech giant’s AI can actually hold it’s own. Considering Bixby Voice is only available in South Korea, few people have been able to try out the heavily touted feature.
It’s still currently unknown when Bixby Voice will specifically make its way to Canada this Spring. We’re also waiting to see if Siri has a comeback for the elusive Bixby.
