Following Bell, SaskTel, Freedom Mobile and Eastlink’s Android 7.0 update to the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge last week, Rogers, Fido, Videotron, and Telus brought Nougat to its customers.
This update comes in at about 1.2GB and brings users split screen mode, better battery life, and access to the new emoji set, plus others features. Owners should have received a notification but can also download Android 7.0 by tapping About Device >> Software Update. This update also includes the monthly security patches.
Android 7.0 was officially available to the public on August 22nd, 2016, and was first available to select Nexus devices, including the Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player and the Pixel C.
The latest Android distribution numbers from Google showed Android 7.0 running on 2.8 percent of devices.
