WhatsApp is rolling out a much-desired feature to its Android beta users: video calling.
Android Police notes that “video calls are becoming available seemingly at random” to users who are testing out one of the recent beta versions of the app. If you’re a beta user who isn’t seeing the new feature as of yet, try activating it by wiping app data and logging in again.
Those who aren’t on the beta can officially enroll here, or download the latest version (2.16.318) is available on APK Mirror.
In early October 2016, some Windows Phone users reported gaining video call functionality through WhatsApp. Meanwhile, the iOS app was updated last week but there’s been no sign of video calling on that platform yet.
