With the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics set to open this Friday, Google has launched a new resource to help Canadians stay up-to-date with the latest results from 31st Olympiad.
Taking a page from its previous efforts, conducting a search related to the Olympics will generate special search cards with information on specific athletes, medal counts and schedules.
Search users in more than 60 countries across the world will also be able to watch highlights from their nation’s official broadcaster on YouTube. We’ve reached out to Google to find out if Canadian broadcasters are on board.
Last but not least, Canadians will be able to explore the venues where events are held using Google Maps.
