Last week, Sony pushed out the long-awaited Marshmallow update to Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium owners. However, in our original article we noted that some users were experiencing issues after the update to Android 6.0 when accessing the Google Play Store.
On Twitter, Sony Canada announced it has halted the update’s release. “Xperia Z5/Xperia Z5P owners: we’ve removed the Android 6.0 update at this time & will advise once it’s been re-issued. Thx for ur patience,” said Sony.
While the smartphone is still usable, some Xperia owners have experienced bricked devices, while others have been forced to backup and perform a factory reset of the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium in order to connect to the Play Store.
