Qualcomm has released a new SDK designed to make creating virtual reality experiences for the hardware manufacturer’s recently released Snapdragon 820 silicon, easier process for developers.
Samsung’s Galaxy S7 (in the U.S.), the upcoming LG G5, and a variety of other upcoming smartphones, are all set to utilize Qualcomm’s new hardware architecture. The SDK is set to be released to developers in Q2 of 2016.
At Mobile World Congress last month in Barcelona, several smartphone manufacturers, including LG with the LG 360, and Samsung with the Gear VR, revealed their virtual plans for the future of virtual reality at the trade show.
