UberEats, Uber’s on-demand food delivery service, first launched in Toronto last May with a handful restaurants delivering users lunch between 11:00am and 2:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Originally accessed within Uber’s application, the service has since spun off with its own dedicated iOS and Android app, and has now extended its hours to directly compete with other delivery services, such as Foodora (previously known as Hurrier) and JustEat.
UberEats now includes over 100 restaurants and delivers to approximately a 15km radius outside Toronto’s downtown core. In addition, now that the service is available between 8:00am and midnight, seven days a week, Uber notes UberEats delivers breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Toronto is the fourth city to launch UberEats in North America after Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. In total, UberEats is available in 12 cities across the world.
UberEats is available on iOS and Android.
