Open Table published today a list of the top 100 outdoor dining restaurants in Canada—a timely piece, if you ask us, given that a significant heat wave is expected this summer.
Working through 275,000 reviews collected between May 1, 2014 and April 30, 2015, Open Table narrowed down a field of 1,600 restaurants to 100. Ontario leads the list with 41 of the top restaurants, followed by British Columbia (29), Alberta (17) and Quebec (12).
Bryan Huehn, OpenTable Country Manager for Canada, said, “Most Canadians can only enjoy outdoor dining for a few months out of the year, and summer is a very popular dining season for us as locals and tourists take advantage of our vibrant outdoor ambience, from the lush surroundings of Stanley Park to the charming elegance of Niagara-on-the-Lake.”
Some of the notable patios and “great for outdoor dining” restaurants are Boathouse Horseshoe Bay in Vancouver, Mildred’s Temple Kitchen in Toronto, Pineridge Hollow in Manitoba, River Cafe in Calgary and Vieux–Port Steakhouse in Montreal.
