Microsoft announced today that apps and services, one of which is Uber, will soon live inside its Office suit for mobile and desktop.
At the company’s Build developer conference today, CEO Satya Nadella furthered the company’s cross-platform intentions by making it easy for devs to build app-like experiences within Office itself.
An early demo showed an Uber add-on for Outlook, which looks at calendar information and location data to call a cab to your current location and automatically fill in the destination. These adds-ons will be downloaded through the apps themselves, and will work on Android, iOS and Windows.
