Toronto’s dbrand inc. – which claims to have “the most precise fit on Earth” for vinyl skins — is well known for device protection at good prices. Its skins are made from 3M vinyl and replicate the design lines of popular smartphones and tablets.
The company has expanded its offering and released “dbrandGlass,” its first foray to protect your screen from scratches or cracks. Glass, which is made with Corning Gorilla Glass is rated 9H hardness (reportedly 5x stronger than regular glass), measures in at 0.2mm thin and apparently is the “thinnest on the market.”
Similar to the vinyl skins, installation of Glass is easy and simply rolls onto the display. There is a oleophobic coating on the screen protector that reduces fingerprints and also ensures it “won’t peel or bubble at the edges.”
dbrand is currently offering Glass on three devices — Nexus 5, HTC One M8, and LG G3 — with more coming before the end of the year.
