AccuWeather today rolled out an update for Windows Phone users that adds MinuteCast functionality to the app. MinuteCast is the minute by minute forecast solution that AccuWeather acquired along with Sky Motion last year.
An updated version of AccuWeather with MinuteCast hit iPhones in Febraury and Android devices in June. Now Windows Phone users will also get two-hour precipitation forecasts broken down by minute and hyper-localized to their exact street address. MinuteCast includes precipitation type and intensity, as well as start and end times for precipitation for the Continental United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Japan.
