It’s known that BlackBerry will be launching the entry-level BlackBerry Jakarta shortly. Speculation is that we’ll see an official unveiling of this BB10-powered smartphone at Mobile World Congress in a few weeks. The Waterloo-based company is now focussed on servicing the enterprise market and is reportedly working on two high-end devices. The codenames have been floating around the internet for months: Ontario and Windermere.
Good news for loyal BlackBerry users who are possibly waiting for the company to launch a new device as a few specs have popped up from a recent benchmarking app called Geekbench 3. According to the results, the ‘Ontario’ will come with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 and 2GB of RAM. No word on the screen size or cameras, but it shows that it’s running BlackBerry OS 10.3.
Unfortunately, no pictures or any sign of a release date.
