Every new flagship smartphone usually has a successor within a year. Rumours are quickly making the rounds that LG is planning to phase out the widely popular G2 with the release of the G3. According to an overseas report by Asiae, LG will come to market with the G3 sporting a 5.5-inch QHD display – which has a stunning resolution of 1440×2560 and up from the G2’s current 5.2-inch 1080p display. The report also indicates a specific release date of May 17th (that might be off as it’s a Saturday). However, a new LG smartphone is coming and LG will most likely unveil a fresh flagship at Mobile World Congress next month.
