The new Nexus 7 is currently our favourite Android tablet, and Google is making it better today by releasing an over-the-air update to fix an outstanding multitouch bug.
Build JSS15Q addresses an issue some users were seeing where the HD screen would not respond properly to multiple presses at the same time.
The update doesn’t explicitly address the GPS issues Nexus 7 owners are experiencing — we had neither problem with our review unit — but it’s possible the problem has also been patched.
Users should begin receiving the new build in the coming days, so if your unit has not yet notified you, give it some time before heading to Settings/About tablet/Software updates.
