TELUS’ LTE (Long Term Evolution) network expansion is clipping at a solid rate.
When TELUS announced expansion into Sarnia and Moose Jaw last month, they declared its LTE network reached “more than 27 million Canadians” and “covers more than 75 per cent of the Canadian population across approximately 170 markets.” Now, just 3-weeks later, TELUS is confidently reporting their LTE speeds connect “almost 80 per cent of the Canadian population across approximately 200 markets.” That a dramatic increase that bumps up 5% and 30 markets, but unchanged is the “more than 27 million Canadians” that have access to LTE speeds.
In a press release, TELUS announced that Owen Sound, Sauble Beach, Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville, ON now have LTE in their regions. As stated before, LTE should bring you average download speeds between 12 to 25Mbps.
