Dropbox has updated its iOS app with a brand new minimalist design and a focus on photo viewing. The service is increasingly becoming used as a repository for our digital lives, and that digital life is increasingly becoming centred around the visual. As cameras decrease in size and increase in quality we have the opportunity to automatically store and backup our lives to these cloud services. Dropbox has seen the writing on the wall and updated its app accordingly.
The photo viewer, therefore, removes all excess and just allows us to browse, favourite or export our photos. Of course, one can still add, delete and edit documents from Dropbox, but the photo viewer is now front and centre.
