Rogers has added 2 stellar Android 2.3 devices to their lineup today. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and arc are now officially available online and at retail outlets across Canada. These are very different devices but are priced the same: $549.99 no-contract; $499.99 on a 1-year; $449.99 on a 2-year and $99.99 on a 3-year promo (with a minimum $45 monthly Voice and Data plan).

A quick rundown of specs for each:
Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is the first PlayStation Certified device and comes with a 4-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 854, slider to reveal the gaming controls, 1GHz Snapdragon processor with a Qualcomm Adreno 205 GPU, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and the capabilities of recording 720p HD videos, VGA front facing camera, 1,500mAh battery, 3.5mm headset jack, Wi-Fi, weighs in at 175 grams, stereo speakers and comes with a 8GB microSD card but can hold up to 32GB. In addition, Sony Ericsson has pre-loaded 6 games on the Play: Star Battalion, Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior, Crash Bandicoot, FIFA 10, Madden NFL 11, Tetris and have made Asphalt 6: Adrenaline and Sim 3 available for a free download.
The Xperia arc has a 4.2-inch touchscreen display (resolution of 480×854) powered by Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 processor, Adreno 205 GPU, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and can record 720p HD videos, WiFi, A-GPS, HDMI-out port, 1500mAh battery, weighs in at a light 117 grams, overall dimensions are 125 x 63 x 8.7 mm and is only 8.4mm at its thinnest point.
