Google has announced that “Street View” on Google Maps sis now available in 11 Canadian cities: Vancouver, Whistler, Squamish, Banff, Calgary, Kitchener-Waterloo, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and Halifax.
With this service you can almost view somebody front door, honestly Google describes the service as the ability to “virtually explore and navigate neighbourhoods through panoramic street-level images”. To start using it all you have to do is open Google Maps and zoom or drag the orange “Pegman” icon onto a blue-lined street.
Privacy is an issue… all faces and licence plates have been blurred out. If you find something that is an issue all you have to do is click the “Report a problem” link and Google will make not of it.
