In a statement to MobileSyrup, Bell spokesperson Nathan Gibson confirmed that it is also offering to suspend for free the services of its clients.
“Bell is offering all its residential and SMBs customers impacted by the current floods in Quebec and Ontario the option to temporarily suspend their services at no cost,” said Gibson. “Bell customers can contact us at 310-BELL.”
According to the Globe and Mail, 2,426 residences have been affected by the floods, forcing approximately 1,520 people to evacuate almost 150 municipalities.
People across the province, “from Quebec’s border with Ontario to the Gaspe peninsula in the east” have been affected.
MobileSyrup has reached out to Bell Canada to find out how they are working with flood victims.
