CRTC to honour Canadian communications trailblazers on March 21st

Canadian flag blowing in the wind - CRTC honour Canadian communications trailblazers

On March 21st, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission will honour Canada’s communications pioneers during an hour-and-a-half ceremony at the Commission’s headquarters in Gatineau, Quebec.

The CRTC hasn’t said the specific individuals it will honor during the event, only that they’re persons whom, “through their achievements, values and ideals, have positively impacted Canadian communications over the last 150 years.”

The event is just one of many ways in which the Federal government is celebrating the nation’s 150th birthday. Parks Canada, for instance, is giving Canadians free access to national parks coast to coast to coast through the free 2017 Discovery Pass.

Who do you think the CRTC should honor on March 21st? Tell us in the comment section.
