The Sony Xperia X Performance has already dropped to $0 at Bell

Sony Xperia X Performance handsets first hit shelves in Canada on July 14th at approximately $199.99 on a two-year contract and now, just over two months later, Bell is offering the device at $0.

This drastic drop in price is good news for any Sony fan who wants to pick up the most high-end model among Sony’s new Xperia X line, which also includes the X, XA and XA Ultra, but also begs the question of whether sales of the device have been poor so far.

The Sony Xperia X Performance features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor 23-megapixel camera with predictive hybrid autofocus, 13-megapixel front-facing camera, 5-inch display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a water-resistant case.

To get the Xperia X Performance, Bell customers must subscribe to a two-year contract on a plan starting at $80 per month with data. Outright, the device is $699.99, as it has been since launch in Canada.

The Xperia XA, which lacks a fingerprint sensors and stocks a slower MediaTek processor, is also $0 at Bell, though available for contracts with lower monthly prices, starting at $35 per month.
