Just as many predicted, Square Enix Montreal’s next title, Deus Ex Go, will be set in the Deus Ex universe.
The Montreal-based mobile-focused development studio has a knack for taking Square Enix’s marquee franchises – Hitman and Tomb Raider for example – and translating them into top tier mobile experiences. Both Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go are renowned as some of the best mobile title’s ever made, especially the latter title.
Just days ahead of E3, Square Enix Montreal has revealed Deus Ex Go, a mobile take on the Deus Ex franchise set to be released for iOS and Android later this summer. Given Deus Ex:Mankind Divided’s upcoming multiplatform release on August 22nd, it makes perfect sense for the publisher to also be releasing a mobile spin-off.
While not much is known about Deus Ex Go yet, from the mobile game’s reveal trailer it seems like it will adopt the same turn-based, board game style gameplay and simple, yet stylized graphics the Go series is known for.

The game will, however, features a level editor, a first for the Go franchise, though this feature reportedly won’t make it to Deus Ex Go at launch.
