Samsung is still reportedly working on a rollable phone, according to Korea Today. The report from the Korean website indicates that Samsung may release this phone, dubbed Z Slide, within the next few years.
According to the leak, the ‘Z Slide’ offers a 10-inch flexible display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of at least 440. However, the report indicates that Samsung is still having issues with the flexible rolling display technology. Samsung has been reportedly working on rollable phones for years now.
This technology wasn’t initially created by Samsung, as LG and Motorola have come up with rollable display designs. We even got the chance to try out the Motorola Rizr back in 2023; however, this was a concept prototype. But Samsung might be the first actually to release this device.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8 with a wider display, the Z Fold 8 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip 8 next month. While none of these displays roll, all three fold, which is still pretty cool.
